Background

As more and more electronic brachytherapy source manufacturers bring their products to the United States, there is more demand for an absorbed dose to water standard instead of air-kerma. There would be fewer corrections to account for chamber stems, chamber effective points of measurement, and air-to-water conversions if an absorbed dose to water standard were available.
